Eleanora Rupp, age 87 of Westbrook passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at the Sleepy Eye Care Center.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 27 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Springfield, MN.
Visitation will be 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Monday at the Westbrook Funeral Home. Visitation will continue at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in the Rosehill Mennonite Cemetery. The Westbrook Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Eleanora Elizabeth (Huebert) Rupp was born July 5, 1922 on the family farm in Burnstown Township, Brown County, Minnesota to Carl and Cecilia (Hansen) Huebert. She attended country School until 8th grade and then went to Springfield High School where she graduated in 1942. On November 14, 1948 Eleanora was united in marriage to Raymond F. Rupp at Danebod Lutheran Church in Brookville Township. They made their home in Westbrook where Eleanora worked as a nurse's aide at the Westbrook Good Samaritan Center for 22 years. Eleanora loved her great grandchildren and they were very important to her. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, cooking and traveling. She loved to spend her free-time doing word-finds and Sudoku puzzles.
Eleanora is survived by her grandson James McDermott and his wife Donna and their children Benjamin and Ashley of Springfield; brother Donald Huebert and his wife Bernice of Brownton and their family; many nieces and nephews; cousins; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond F. Rupp in 1995, one daughter Lola in 1999 and one brother Dallas in 2006. Blessed be the memory of Eleanora E. Rupp.
