Mrs. Mixon was born in Rains County and first came to Donley County in 1925. She had lived in the Salisbury community from 1928 to 1949 and had made her home in Amarillo for about 2 1/2 years. She was united in marriage to Curtis Lee Mixon in 1913 at Liberty. He preceded her in death June 12, 1970.
Mrs. Mixon was a member of Highland Baptist Church in Amarillo.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Clara Gales of Tulia, Mrs. Eula Richards of Clarendon, Mrs. Ida Carthel of Plainview, Mrs. Norene McBrayer of Dumas and Mrs. Gladys Turner of Sacramento, Calif.; three sons, Leon of Dumas and V.O. and Otis, both of Amarillo; two sisters, Mrs. Eula Zint of Amarillo and Mrs. Dollie Ellison of Quitman; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and on great-grandchild [sic].
