Robert James Lonergan, Sr, 68, formerly of Joliet, IL passed away at 11:25a.m. on January 18, 2010, after losing his battle with cancer, at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, IL.
He was a two time Purple Heart recipient from the Vietnam War and a Notre Dame College Football Fan.
Robert retired from Sheffield Steele in Joliet, IL where he was an electrician.
He is survived by his son Robert (Jennifer) Lonergan Jr, his daughter Barb (Kale) Close and four grandsons.
He is preceded in death by his grandson Tyler Jacob Lonergan.
