Angela June "Angie" Sims, age 41, a resident of the Mt. Joy Community of Maury County, passed away on Sunday, January 17, at her residence.
Funeral services for Angie will be conducted Thursday at 2:30 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Dwight Liles and Harold Hinson officiating. Burial will be in the Bailey Cemetery in the Mt. Joy Community.
The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 4:00 – 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Born on April 17, 1968 in Maury County, Angie was the daughter of Doris Baker Sims of Mt. Joy and the late Brown Sims. Angie was a 1986 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School and was a Special Education assistant at Mt. Pleasant Middle School. She loved all children and was a long time caregiver to many children. Angie was a friend who could always be counted on in good times and bad. She was a member of the Mt. Joy Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors in addition to her mother include one sister and special brother-in-law: Vicky (Robby) Ingrum of Mt. Pleasant; aunt and uncles: Jimmy and Norma Baker of Trenton, MI and Mack and Birdie Jo Baker of Hohenwald; special friends: Nancy, Heather and John Michael Irwin, Dianne Dunnebacke, Carol McCormick and Jimmie Kaye Baker Curtis.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Allen, Michael Allen, John Michael Irwin, Harold Hinson, Tony Rountree, Jackie Massey, Brian Harris and Johnny Kirk. Honorary pallbearers will be Nancy Irwin, Heather Irwin, Judy Wade, Dianne Dunnebacke, Carol McCormick, Tonda Brooks, Lynn King, Larry Brown, Judy Grimes and all employees of Mt. Pleasant Elementary School and Mt. Pleasant Middle School.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been set up through any branch of Community First Bank to help defray expenses.
