Albert "Poopy" M. Hill, 65, of Prairie du Chien, died Sunday, Oct. 17, 1993, at Memorial Hospital, Prairie du Chien.
He was born May 12, 1928 in Glen Haven, to Harold and Florence (Richter) Hill. He attended school at St. Gabriel's and married Dorothy Holt in 1948. He later married Patricia (Crady) Yager on Sept. 22, 1960 At Elkader, Iowa. He drove taxicab for a time, worked as a bartender, drove a petroleum truck and worked for Howe Printing as a route driver for 23 years.
He is survived by a son, Patrick Hill of Prairie du Chien; a stepson, Bruce Yager of Mineral Point; three daughters, Beverly Cornford of Prairie du Chien, Roxanne Howell of Reedstown and Penny Hill of La Crosse; his mother Florence Hill of Prairie du Chien; his stepmother, Neoma Hill of De Soto; 10 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a half sister, Barbara Kaye Dunkelberger of De Soto. He was preceded in death by his father; one son, Mark Hill; a half brother Harold Thomas Hill; and his wife, Patricia.
Funeral Services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct 20, at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, with Father John Wambach officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at Lake-thornburg Funeral Home, Prairie Du Chien, where a wake scripture service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
