Henry E. Brody, age 74 years residing on a farm west of Kouts, died this morning at his home.
He was born in Cass County, Michigan, on Feb 22, 1861, A son of Herman P and Elmira (Jaqua) Brody, and came to Porter County fifty years ago. He was unmarried.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Estella Woolbrandt, of Kouts, and four nieces, Mamie and Hattie Woolbrandt, of Gary; Mrs. Vivian Hawbrook, of Kouts and Mrs. Bessie Moriarity, of Tippecanoe, Ind.
Mr. Brody was a member of the Hebron Masonic lodge.
Memorial services will be held Thursday morning at 10:30 am at the home of Mrs. Woolbrandt, west of Kouts with the Hebron Masonic lodge in charge. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery, near Kouts.
