Charles Frank Landes, 89, a lifelong farmer in the Arcadia area, died Wednesday at Riverview Hospital. He resided at R1, Arcadia.
He was the son of David and Anna (Day) Landes, born April 30, 1886. In 1907 he married Flora E. Eller who survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Hartley, Arcadia; and Mrs. Kathryn Humbles, Tampa, Fla.; three sons, Gerald Landes, Noblesville; Robert Landes, R1, Cicero; and Milo Landes, Anderson; 15 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
He was a member of the Arcadia Church of the Brethren, the Tipton and White River Christian Brother and Sisterhoods and the Hamilton County Farm Bureau.
