Scottsdale - Private services for Mrs. June M. Winchell, 64, wife of retired newspaper columnist and newscaster Walter Winchell, will be held Monday in Messinger Mortuary, 515 E. Indian School.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Winchell died of a heart condition Thursday in St. Luke's Hospital. She had been ill two weeks.
Mrs. Winchell, 6116 Yucca, moved here 15 years ago from Scarsdale, N. Y. Born in Mississippi, she was an actress when she married Winchell in 1923.
The Winchells maintained residences in Scarsdale and Manhattan until they purchased their Scottsdale home. They recently sold their New York home to reside permanently in Scottsdale.
In addition to her husband, other survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Walda Von Dehn of Los Angeles; a sister, Mrs. Mary M. Mayor of Manhattan, and three grandchildren.
Friends may call at the mortuary until noon tomorrow.
