Ardell Owens, 76, of Tilden died Saturday, Oct. 8., at the Sparta Community Hospital.
He was born May 17, 1912, at Winkle, a son of John and Annie (Deine) Owens, August 18, 1933, he was married at Belleville to Valada Stein. She Survives.
Besides his wife he is survived by three sons, Donald Owens of Franklin, Ky., Dennis Owens of Marion and Lenonard Owens of Sparta; four daughters Patricia Dorf, Francis Foertsch and Cheryl Raney of Tilden and Melba Williams of Sparta, one brother, Arthur Owens of Tilden; one sister, Vivian Voss of Red Bud; 19 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Mr. Owens was a member of the Tri-County Pentecostal Churcbh at Culter and U.M.W.A. Local 9905.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, at the Tilden Church of the Nazarence,with Rev. John Dittmer officiating. Burial was in the Tilden Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Joseph Dorf, Earl Dorf, Glen Shout, Jeffery Owens, Robert Williams, Scott Owen, Brian Raney and Jason Owens.
Friends called at the King Funeral Home in Tilden. Memorials may be made to the Tilden Church of the Nazarence.
