Son of Allen S. and Maria Harriet (Warren) Angevine.
Husband of Julia F. Perio, the daughter of John Frank Perio and Mary (St. John) Perio.

He went to St. Louis with his brother Franklin Angevine after the Civil War. Both worked for the railroad. His brothers Frank and Warren were Union soldiers, but their elder brother Saxton Smith Angevine was a Confederate soldier. Too young to enlist on either side, Allen Angevine did visit his brother Saxton's command post at Fort Grenada, Mississippi, during the War and helped him around the office. He was the provost marshal at Grenada.

The Adrian DAILY TELEGRAM, Feb. 21, 1898, p.3, col. 4: "A.S. Angevine, of East St. Louis, Ill., who has been called here to bury the remains of his father, left for home to-day."

He lived at Belleville for many years but died in East St. Louis at the home of his son, 3039 Audubon Avenue.
