Dorothy Toca Lombard "Dot" Share E-mail Visit Guest Book LOMBARD Dorothy "Dot" Toca Lombard, age 95, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2010 at Canon Hospice after a brief illness. Beloved wife of the late Darwin A. Lombard. She is survived by her daughter, Carole Lombard Schrieffer and her husband Harold Peter Schrieffer, Jr.; grandchildren Stacie Schrieffer LeBlanc and her husband W.J. Le Blanc, Steven Harold Schrieffer and his wife Melanie Perez Schrieffer; great-grandchildren Megan and Trey LeBlanc, Caroline-Joyce "CJ" Schrieffer and her sister Ruby Domingue. Dot is preceded in death by her parents Eliska Casnovas Toca and Lionel Toca. Dot was active and enjoyed life up until a month before her death. She was an active member of numerous clubs including the Lakeshore Golden Agers and Metairie Golden Agers. Dot held numerous offices in her respective golden age groups and cherished her time with her fellow club members. She entertained family and friends with her spunky spirit and do anything-for-you attitude. Dot never missed a casino trip or card game and loved to entertain in her home. She was a fabulous cook and expert seamstress, who loved embellishing the gowns for the Golden Age Annual Ball. Her cooking and potato salad will forever be missed. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 20, 2010.
