BENTON, LA - Services for William Henry "Slim" Bounds, Jr., 77, will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at Rose-Neath's Bossier Chapel with Bro. Phillip Vernon officiating. Interment will follow at Rocky Mount Presbyterian Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City, LA.

Henry was born December 11, 1932 in Plain Dealing, LA to William Henry, Sr. and Sallie Stripling Bounds and passed away January 17, 2010 in Benton, LA. He was employed as a mechanic in the oil and gas industry. Henry was of the Baptist and Presbyterian faiths.

His parents, sisters, Betty and husband Nig Stewart, Sara Bounds Peace and mother-in-law, Rona C. Peace preceded Henry in death.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Mary Peace Bounds of Benton, LA; nieces and nephews, Ardis Dale Peace, Sara Peace Brakeville, Miriam S. Dayton, Larry Stewart; brothers and sisters-in-law, Marion Dale Peace, Ernest R. Peace, Jr., Ardis J. "Peggy" Peace, Martha P. Reyenga, Clara P. Reyenga and numerous other nieces, nephews and family members.

Honoring Henry as pallbearers will be Ardis Dale Peace, Marty Reyenga, Josh Reyenga, Brad Durbin, Cody Durbin, Scott Wilks and Donnie Hope.

The family would like to thank Jordan's Crossing Hospice, especially Sheira, Daphne and Elisha.
