Orville Moore Jr., 70, of Pittsgrove, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010.
Born in Elmer, Orville was the son of Orville Sr. and Bessie (Bittle) Moore. A hard working and family man, he had owned and operated Orville Moore Jr. Trash Removal and had recently retired from Waste Management in Vineland. He loved motorcycles, especially Harleys, collecting Hess trucks and cars, listening to country music and being in the outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Rose M. (Smith); his children, Jennie Troxell and her husband Donald of West Deptford and Brandon Smith Moore of Pittsgrove; his siblings, Joseph Moore of Malaga, Beatrice Peterson of Pittsgrove, Ruth Shimp of Newfield and Theresa Wriggins of Elmer; grandchildren, Heather Samanns (Nick), Alysha Kerico (Brian) and Lisa Cook, the mother of Jennie and Barclay, Edna Schrier; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Barclay Moore; as well as his brothers, Wayne and George.
A viewing will be held from 7 until 9 p.m. on Tuesday at the Adams Funeral Home, 111 S. Main St., Elmer, and again at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
The service will follow at 11 a.m. with interment at Lawnside Cemetery.
The family has suggested that donations can be made to the American Cancer Society , 1851 Old Cuthbert Road., Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
