MISSOULA - Carl A. Morgan passed away Friday, Dec. 22, 2006, in Missoula surrounded by family and friends.

Carl was born Jan. 28, 1913, in Burlington, Wash., to E.P. and Kate Morgan. He graduated from Sedro Woolley High School. He went on to serve in the U.S. Army during World War II. In his early years, he ran the Lyman Ferry on the Skagit River, logged, drove a city bus in Seattle and later worked for Mount Vernon Transfer-ONC, where he retired.

Carl Morgan is survived by his son Jack (and Marsha) Morgan; a brother Ralph (and Mabel) Morgan; sisters Dorothy Kirkendoll and Eunice (and Grady) Atkins; granddaughters Melinda (and Mike) Roggenkamp and Carla Morgan; grandchildren Jessica and Wesley Roggencamp, Drew, Cailen and Wyley Thomason; and good friend Alma Stein, with whom he found much happiness in his later years.

There will be a celebration of life and family service in Day Creek, Wash., at a later date.
