Eugenia worked for many years for One-Hour Martinizing cleaners. She had many interests that included cooking, sewing, bingo, dancing, and playing cards with family and friends. She was a member of the Women of the Moose Club for 36 years.
She leaves behind three sisters-in-law, a godchild, a namesake, many nieces and nephews who were dear to her heart.
Preceding her in death are her parents; three brothers, Emmet, Ralph and Earl; four sisters, Ethel Moran, Pearl Cummins, Inez Myrold and Wilma Turk; her husband, "Nick" Hoven; and "daughter," Loretta Sanchez. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, at St. James Catholic Church, Madison, with Monsignor Thomas Baxter officiating. Ryan Funeral Home and Cremation Services assisted with arrangements.
