Kay was the daughter of Wilbert and Geraldine (Kent) Kunkel. She was a homemaker most of her life. She had worked for Amwest Savings and the Helen Farabee Regional MHMR Center. Kay was a member of the St. Luke Lutheran Church and was a lifetime resident of Olney.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Joyce Hughes and one brother, Dale Kunkel.
Survivors at time of death included one daughter, Julie Hinson and husband Kyle of Olney; one son, Rowdy Lawrence and wife Melissa of Olney; three grandchildren, Carter Hinson, Ellie Hinson, and Taylor Lawrence.
