Philip A. Hicks, 37, of Warwick, died peacefully on January 16, 2010 at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in Providence, he was a son of Leonard H. Hicks of Cranston and the late Theresa F. (Perri) Hicks.

Mr. Hicks was a professional drummer who played with some of the best musicians throughout RI, who will be sadly missed.

He leaves a brother, Leonard A. Hicks of West Warwick, Thomas P. Hicks of Warwick, his step-mother, Lydia A. (Pullano) Hicks , several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at 10:00 am in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Greenwood, Warwick (Exit 12A off I-95). Interment will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.
