Emil Schultz, 90, of 3349 Oberlin Rd., Gladwin, died Monday, July 25, in the Gladwin Area Hospital. Born in Germany on May 5, 1893, he came to the United States in 1912 and settled in Cleveland, Ohio. He then moved to Chicago for 22 years where he worked as a baker for Continental Bakeries. In April 1942, he came to Gladwin County and farmed. He was a member of the Round Lake Baptist Church and Golden Agers Club. Mr. Schultz and the former Ada Strahl were married September 23, 1932, in Chicago.
Besides his wife, he is survived by 2 sons, Ronald of Flint and Emil of Huntington Beach, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Roscoe (Dorothy) Lantz of Clearwater, Fla.; one brother, Otto of Mt. Clemens; one sister, Mrs. Amaliea Ikert of Sao Paulo, Brazil; and 9 grandchildren.
Services will be held Thursday at the Round Lake Baptist Church. The Rev. Robert Brown will officiate and burial will be in the Highland Cemetery.
