Her will (proved P.C.C.) mentioned the settlements, dated 30 June 1778, for her marriage to William FORBES, in which the third party was Ann BUXTON (probably her mother), and the fourth party included Fisher UNWIN; she also mentioned that the whole of their issue died during her husband's lifetime, except sons Charles Ferguson FORBES, Anna Maitland now the wife of Rev George LAURIE, and William FORBES.

Inscription

"Also the remains of Elizabeth FORBES, widow of the above William FORBES, and daughter of Thomas BUXTON, late of this town. She was born at Coggeshall on the 22nd day of January, A.D. 1751, and died at Camberwell on the 23rd day of April, A.D. 1825."
