Mrs. Virginia Inez Beverly Roberson, 90, passed away Saturday morning (December 8, 2018) at her residence after a brief illness. She was born November 16, 1928 in Waycross to the late Forest Jasper Beverly, Sr. and Margaret Inez Robinson Beverly. Virginia graduated from Waresboro School in 1945, and she was a member of Winona Park United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Oscar R. Bob Roberson, Jr.; one infant daughter; two brothers, James T. Beverly and Rev. F.J. Beverly, Jr.; and three sisters, Sarah Mincey, Mary Gillis Page and Barbara Boyette. Survivors include one daughter, Maryse Fort (Gary) of Waycross; one son, John W. Roberson of Dallas, TX; one grandson, Joey Fort (Mary Beth) of Waycross; five great grandchildren, Kierson, Khoen, Mary Kailyn, Koralyn and Kamdon Fort; two sisters, Betty Jo Gibbs and Nell Clark; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held 11 a.m. Tuesday (December 11, 2018) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Kettle Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Winona Park United Methodist Church, 900 N.
