Mrs. S. C. Dowdy died at her home near Fork Creek Thursday morning. She was about 40 years of age and one of the best Christian women of the community. She has been sick for some time. Her mother, Mrs Charlie Maxwell, died last week. She is survived by her husband and one daughter, Mrs Robert Booth. She was buried at Fork Creek Church.
