CONWAY -- Nettie Caroline Suggs Martin , 66, died Sunday, Aug. 25, 1996, at home after an illness.
Born in Horry County, she was a daughter of the late Willie C. and Ollie Hardee Suggs. She was the widow of Isaac M. Martin Sr.
She was a member of Oakey Swamp Baptist Church and was employed by the Sea Mist Resort for 14 years.
Survivors include two sons, Isaac Martin Jr. of Florence and Ivan Martin of Conway; three brothers, William Suggs of Charleston, Herman Suggs of Loganville, Ga., and Leonard Suggs of Charlotte, N.C.; four sisters, Doretha Todd and Letha Nealy, both of Loris, Inez Colverson of Miami, and Mildred Walker of Lancaster, Calif.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 tonight at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway chapel.
The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Oakey Swamp Baptist Church. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
