At the time of his marriage he settled on a farm in Limington, near the Limerick line. This was his residence until 1836, when his son Philemon sold the homestead and bought the Daftii farm in Newfield. There his wife died Dec. 1849. He himself died in Limerick, with his daughter Martha, 5 Dec. 1858.
