Born August 20, 1976, in Vincennes, he was the son of Patrick and Carol Ann (Decker) Carter.
He was employed with Indiana Wholesalers in Terre Huate. A graduate of Northview High School, he enjoyed music and playing the guitar.
Survivors include his mother and father of Brazil; a brother, Matthew Carter of Brazil; his maternal grandfather, Dan Decker of Vincennes; and his paternal grandmother, Frieda Carter of Vincennes.
The funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Goodwin Funeral Home, with burial in the Walnut Grove Cemetery in Monroe City.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday.
