If you will look at the name and date, it was his wife's Caroline's gravestone. Apparently, Caroline had this grave marker for seven years, and Josiah either had none, or a plain rock marker. When son Harmon died seven years after, a double stone was made with he and his mother Caroline. Caroline's old stone must have been taken from Peters Cemetery to Love Cemetery and replaced whatever marker was there, if any. It was verified by Malvina Peters Davis, Josiah's granddaughter, that this is his correct burial spot.
