Peggy Gerleen Thomason, 70, of Texhoma passed away Saturday evening, January 16, 2010 at the Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, Kansas.

The daughter of Frank Albert and Cordelia "Dee" (Adams) Conrad, Peggy was born June 17, 1939 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Peggy and Eldon L. Thomason were united in marriage on July 31, 1960 in Liberal, Kansas. The Thomason family had lived in numerous towns in southwest Kansas due to Eldon's job, moving to Texhoma in 1980.

Peggy was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother to not only her own children and grandchildren, but also to hundreds of other children from the Texhoma area that she claimed as her own over the past 25 years. She was a member of the Texhoma First Baptist Church and Keenagers.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Eldon on March 3, 2001; an infant son, Terry Lee Thomason in 1961; her twin infant brother, Benny Gerald and infant brother, George Marion.
Survivors include two sons: Randy L. Thomason of Dell Valle, Texas and Rex R. Thomason of Texhoma, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Brandi J. Powers and Michael B. Thomason, both of Texhoma; one great grandson, Rowdy Lee Powers of Texhoma; and two sisters: Frankie Hardin of Turpin, Oklahoma and Jo Graham of Canyon, Texas.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon, January 21st at 1:30 p.m. at the Texhoma First Baptist Church with Pastor Ralph Mireles officiating. Interment will follow in the Texhoma Cemetery. Friends can call at the funeral home on Wednesday until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the Relay For Life. Memorials will be accepted at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home, PO Box 1112, Guymon, Oklahoma 73942. Friends can sign the online guest book and leave condolences at www.bunchroberts.com.
