Son of Nathaniel "Robinson" and Rebecca Butler. Husband of Eliza Jane Briggs. Newport died unexpectedly after a duck hunting accident. He fell through the ice, and contracted pneumonia.
Newport and Eliza Jane had 8 children, with six surviving childhood.
Although Newport does not appear in the cemetery records, family records state that he was definitely buried in this cemetery.
