They are last shown in the 09 Jun 1880 Savannah Township, Jackson County Census, where he is listed as head of house and age 60. Living with them is their daughter Maggie Barron, age 14, grand-daughter Lula M Barron, age 3, daughter Barthannie {Barron} Cabe, age 23 and husband Joshua Cabe, age 34.
Some have speculated about the date of Wilson's death, but it is unknown with certainty as there are no recorded documents providing proof.

Pleasant Wilson Barron was the son of Jonathan Barron (Find A Grave Memorial# 103087123) and Susanna Phifer (Find A Grave Memorial# 103087202).
Wilson is mentioned in in father, Jonathan's will:
"...after the death of my wife Susanna Barnes I want all my property sold and equally divided between my son Henry P. Barnes, Catherine Carmilla Weatherman wife of James Weatherman and George W. Barnes and Francis M Barnes and Pleasant W(ilson) Barnes and William N. Barnes and Jasper N Barnes and Anna Oliza Almedia Trivett wife of Andrew Trivett."
