Mrs. Gloria Christine Stapleton, age 81, of Douglas, GA passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Stapleton was born in Ware County, GA on March 21, 1933 to the late Nolan Jackson McLean and Nora Pricilla Burkett McLean.
She is survived by four sons, Horace Stapleton of Douglas, GA, Roger Stapleton and Gary (DaLane) Stapleton both of Mora, GA and Eric Stapleton, Denton, GA, dedicated grandsons Scott Perkins and Ted, one daughter, Mary Noreen Stapleton of Douglas, GA, one brother, Gilbert Dee McLean of Hillard, FL; seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Glenda Darlene Dyal.
Graveside services were held on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at 4:00 PM at Central Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Patrick Williams, officiating and eulogy by Perin Timberlin, granddaughter.
