Pink Tidmore Dies After Long Illness

Services were held here at three o'clock Sunday afternoon for Pink Tidmore, well known Carnegie business man, who succumbed at his home Saturday afternoon after being desperately ill for the past two months. He had been in failing health for about two years. Mr. Tidmore had been in the produce business in Carnegie for the past 12 years. he was a member of the chamber of commerce and a supporter of all community building projects.

Pink S. Tidmore was born at Collinsville, Ala., May 9, 1885. He grew to young manhood in Texas and came to Oklahoma about 31 years ago. He was married to Miss Kate Archer at Denton, Texas December 25, 1906. After living in Mountain View a few years, Mr. and Mrs. Tidmore moved to a farm northwest of Carnegie where they made their home until coming here to enter business.

Besides his wife, Mr. Tidmore is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ferne Meade, Torrance, Calif.; Mrs. Lucille Ritchison, Carnegie; Mrs. Emma Mae Deckard, Oklahoma City; and two sons, Forrest and Lonnie of Carnegie. An infant daughter died at birth.

Other near relatives include his aged mother, Mrs. Emma V. Tidmore; five brothers, R.E., J.D. and E.J. Tidmore of Chillicothe, Texas; Chas. Tidmore of Bellview, Texas; and Obie Tidmore of El Campo, Texas and his sister, Mrs. J. D. Presley, Mountain View, besides many others in this community.

Services were held at the First Baptist church by Rev. Garland Howard, pastor, and interment was made in the Carnegie cemetery. He was a member of the Baptist church and a charter member of the Odd Fellow lodge at Mountain View.
