Harrie married Mattie R. Mickelson, daughter of Albert Mickelson and Mary Brickson, on 28 Mar 1888. Two children were born, Nina Kathleen, 1895 and Lyle David, 1898. Mattie died in 1899. Harrie married a widow, Theresa Freida Ricker Donovan on 4 Nov 1900; they were the parents of Pansie Dorothea Holbrook. He died at the Parkview Sanitorium. Hopewell Hospital was Minneapolis City Hospital's quarantine hospital and tuberculosis sanatorium, which operated from 1907-1924; the hospital was later renamed Parkview Sanatorium.
