She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church for many years where she had served on the Parish Council, was a former lector and had been a St. Paul's volunteer for Meals on Wheels. She attended Norfolk schools, graduating from Maury High School and from business courses at TCC Portsmouth Campus. She retired from Sasser Realty Co. and was a charter member and recording secretary of the first Park Manor Civic Club.
Eunice was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Frank J. Facenda; her brother, Kenneth C. Lillard; and her sister, Thelma Arlene Paczkowski.
Surviving Eunice are her two daughters, Stephanie R. Facenda and Suzanne F. Antonucci and husband Tony; a granddaughter, Melissa Leigh Antonucci; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family sends a special thanks to her caregivers, Dana, Laurie and Kimberly.
A Christian funeral will be celebrated at 7 p.m. Monday in St. Paul's Catholic Church, High St. & Washington St., Portsmouth, by the Rev. Kevin Segerblom. The family will receive friends, with viewing, one hour prior to the funeral. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Olive Branch Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the home on Tareyton Lane following the burial. Foster Funeral Home, Portsmouth, handling arrangements.
