Final Rites Held for Mrs. Lockwood
Funeral services for Mrs Evelyn Alexander Lockwood were help at 4:45 p.m. yesterday with religious rites following at St Agnes Catholic Church at 5 p.m. Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Park.
Mrs Lockwood, 20, was the wife of Sgt R E Lockwood of Alexandria, and she died Friday at 10:55 p.m. at the Huey Long hospital in Pineville after a three week illness.
Mrs Lockwood had lived in Baton Rouge all her life and had been in Pineville only during the last few weeks.
She is survived by her husband; her father, C Alexander of Baton Rouge; her mother, Mrs W T Lovett of Baton Rouge; two brothers, Bill and Jimmy Alexander of Baton Rouge, and a sister, Betty Alexander of Baton Rouge.
