Jake Ryan Westmoreland, 32, a native of Houston and resident of Brighton, Mass., passed away Friday, Jan. 8, 2010 in Philadelphia, Pa.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Nazarene Church in Henryetta, Okla. officiated by the Rev. Kevin Celestin and the Rev. Lowell Churchill, with interment to follow in Okmulgee Cemetery. An honor guard will be present to provide military honors.

He is survived by his daughter, Kylie Folse of Raceland; his parents, Geneva Sue "Susie" Powell and Roger Westmoreland of Raceland; one brother, Jordan West of Raceland; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charlie and Juanita Powell, and Jake and Lenora Westmoreland.

He was born May, 3, 1977 in Houston. He was a sergeant in the Army National Guard and a disabled veteran. He loved music, his guitar, the space program and photography.
