Age 69, the daughter of Frederick Shoemaker and Mary Schuller Shoemaker. A woman of strong faith, a devoted member and choir member at All Saints Parish in Waterford Township, and a 1957 graduate of Villa Maria Academy, Bev attended nurse's training at St. Vincent's Hospital in Erie, was a 4-H Club Leader, and worked for a number of years in the Fort LeBoeuf School District as a librarian. She will be especially remembered for her smile and for her necklaces on which she proudly displayed the birthstones of each child and grandchild. She was a light and a guide to everyone who knew her.

She was predeceased by her parents (1991 & 2006), her grandson, Samuel Church (2004), and her nephew, Matthew Hazelton (2002).

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Thomas H. Church, Sr., of Summit Township. Bev is also survived by four daughters and two sons: Mary Lou Williams and companion Mike Hoerner of Batavia, NY; Kathy Earley and husband Sean; Susan Berdis and husband Kevin; Tom Church, Jr., and wife Debbie (DiMartino); Carol Tunstall and husband Art; Dennis Church and wife Ashley (Vecchi), all of Erie; also, son-in-law Bill Williams of Georgetown, SC.; grandchildren; three sisters and four brothers, Jeanne Shoemaker of Sun City, FL; Marilyn Hazelton and husband Daniel, of Allentown, PA; Dr. James Shoemaker of Nashville, IN; Fred Shoemaker and wife Maggie, of Orlando, FL; Jack Shoemaker of Erie, Carol Goodwin and husband Jim, of Clemson, SC; Dr. Dennis Shoemaker and wife Lori of Lancaster, PA; sister-in-law, Kathleen Schultz, PA; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces, a great-nephew, and her extended bluegrass family.
