D. H. Siders died at his home Sunday morning after an illness of several days. Funeral services were conducted at the Methodist Church Tuesday afternoon. The choir sang "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "Sometime We'll Understand." Burial was in Bement Cemetery.

Daniel Hollinger Siders, s/o Philip and Anna Siders, was born near Harrisburg PA on February 21, 1854 and died at his home in Bement on August 7, 1921. He came with his parents, his brother, Allen; and sister, Ellen, to Illinois in the spring of 1870. They located in Edgar County. Mr. Siders and Martha B. Fenimore were married September 7, 1876 and moved in 1882 to their farm 2 1/2 miles west of Bement. They moved to Bement in March 1890, Mr. Siders having engaged in the hardware business with J. H. Taylor in September 189. The partnership continued until Mr. Taylor's death in 1916. Mr. Siders retired in June on account of ill health. His death was caused by leakage of the heart and Bright's disease.

Mr. Siders was converted during the Bischoff revival meetings in the Presbyterian Church more than thirty years ago and united with the Methodist Church. He leaves his wife, son - Ralph; and his sister, Mrs. C. T.(Ellen) Rittenhouse (1861-1945).
