Shannon Rose Steele, 21, of French Lick, died at 7:19 p.m. Monday in a motor vehicle accident on Ind. 37 north of Orleans.
She was born Sept. 22, 1988, in Paoli, the daughter of John Gerren and Beverly Steele Beaver.
She was employed at Big Splash Adventure in French Lick and was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include one daughter, Maddy Lee Bean of French Lick; her mother, Beverly Beaver of French Lick; her stepfather, Robert Patton of French Lick; one sister, Sarah Gerren of Mitchell; two brothers, Matthew Steele of French Lick, and Charles Gerren, with the U.S. Marines Corps in Hawaii; one sister-in-law, Katherine Gerren of French Lick; her maternal grandmother, Shelby Steele of French Lick; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Joe Steele.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home in Bedford. Burial will follow in the Mundell Christian Church Cemetery.
