Curtis Harris, 52, of 4565 Royal Ave. died Wednesday. He was born in Macclenny and had been in Jacksonville on an extended visit from Minneapolis, Minn. He was a member of the Unity Freewill Baptist Church of Jacksonville and owned and operated Minneapolis restaurant. A veteran of 23 years in the Navy, he was member of the Fleet Reserve Assn. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Hazel Harris of Minneapolis: his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William H. Harris of Jacksonville: a daughter, Shirley Mae Harris of Minneapolis: eight sisters, Mrs. Effie Harvey, Mrs. Altie Smith, Mrs. Ruby Kerlin, and Mrs. Joyce June Gardner, all of Jacksonville, and Mrs. Dorothy Bourgeois Jr., of Wichita Falls, Tex., Mrs. Opal Silcox, now living in Germany, and Mrs. Ruth A. Elmlinger and Mrs. Esther Fuller, both of Huron Ohio; and a brother, Ernest H. Harris of Jacksonville. Funeral Services will be announced by the R.C. Honsa Funeral Home.
