Orangeburg - Damon Pythias Bradbury, 78, died Monday at Orangeburg Regional Hospital. The funeral will be 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Dukes-Harley Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Bradbury was born in Atlanta, a son of the late Thomas Bradbury and Mrs. Hannah Marks Bradbury. He was an accountant, a World War I veteran, a Shriner and a member of the First Baptist Church of Orangeburg. Surviving are: his widow, Mrs. Ruby Gardiner Bradbury of Orangeburg; two daughters, Mrs. Claude Pippin of Springfield, N.C. and Mrs. J. W. Welborn Jr. of Greensboro, N.C.; three sons, D. P. Bradbury Jr. of St. Charles, Mo., James E. Bradbury of Columbia and Dr. Robert G. Bradbury of Savannah; a brother, A. Thomas Bradbury of Atlanta; two sisters, Mrs. Jack Powell of Atlanta and Mrs. Lillian Collins of Long Beach, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
