Mrs William Wicks passed away last week at the Brunswick Hospital in Hempstead after an illness of several weeks.
She was a native of Elmont, and was 44 years old. The past 21 years have been passed at her home on the Hicksville-Massapequa Road.
Besides her husband, she leaves four sons, William, Henry, David, and Daniel, and a grandson William H. III; her mother Mrs. Caroline Erb, of Elmont; four brothers, Fred of Hicksville, Henry of Farmingdale, David of Bellmore and George of Wantagh; three sisters, Mrs George Wicks of Wantagh; Mrs Christopher Riemels of East Meadow, and Mrs John Zauer of Catskill, NY.
Funeral services were held Monday at Southard's Funeral Parler in Seaford, the Rev Mr Shevel officiating. Interment was in Greenfield Cemetery, Hempstead.
