Robert Long Gleason served as a Captain in the United States Army during World War II.

He was a son of Frank Arthur Gleason and Maude Newlin (Long) Gleason.

He entered active service with the U.S. Army on June 11, 1941 at Camp Shelby, Mississippi.

He received his discharge from the Army on January 13, 1946 at Utica, New York.

He was originally from Scranton, Pennsylvania.

He was married to Margaret (Daley) Gleason.

He was interred in the Gettysburg National Cemetery on November 17, 1972.
