Johnnie Carey Havard, the fourth child of seven of Charley Harris Havard (17 Oct 1875 - 05 Apr 1951) and Iva Jett (06 Jun 1878 - 16 Apr 1963) was born 28 Jun 1913 in Huffman, Harris County, TX. She received her name from her Uncle John and from James Carey Daniels, a close friend of her parents, and a missionary to China.

She had four sisters and two brothers: Jeremiah Culbertson Havard (27 Oct 1907 - 15 Apr 1979), Eugene Weldon Havard (02 Sep 1909 - 08 May 1991), Mary Rhoda "Polly" Havard Hellman (22 Jul 1911 - 03 Apr 2003), Alice Wilda Havard Lindstrom (18 Jan 1916 - 14 Sep 2011), Ida Dorris Havard Vanya/Van Fossen (11 Feb 1919 - 27 Jun 2008) and Ruby Mabel Havard/Hurt (22 Sep 1921 - 21 Nov 1996).

She first Herman Adolph Ehrlund (02 Oct 1907 - 23 Sep 1970) son of Herman Adolph Ehrlund, Sr. (24 Feb 1835 - 14 Jul 1921) on 05 Nov 1934 in Crosby, Harris County, TX.

She and Herman made their home in Crosby, TX. They had one son, Charlie Herman Ehrlund who married Ruby Elaine Rodeck. She had two grandchildren, Kimberly Ann Ehrlund and Mark Rodeck Ehrlund.

She second married Levy Ansel Havard (14 Aug 1912 - 08 Sep 1984) son of Fred (Freddie) Lee Havard (14 Jun 1884 - 05 Sep 1943) and Lula Mandy Bentley (04 Jul 1892 - 13 Sep 1971) on 05 Dec 1974 in San Jacinto County, TX.

She and Levy made their first home at Tarkington Prairie. They later moved to Onalaska, TX on Lake Livingston.

Johnnie died 02 Apr 1997 in Cleveland, Liberty County, TX. She was 83 years old. Her cousin, Sarah Katherine Havard Despain was her caregiven during the last part of her life.
