Eunice Leonard "EL" Wheeler, Jr. -MACON - Eunice Leonard "EL" Wheeler, Jr., 83, passed away November 1, 2009. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at 12:30 P.M. in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with Rev. Randall Mimbs officiating. The family will greet friends from 11:00 A.M. to Noon on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 277 Martin Luther King Blvd., Macon, GA 31201. -Mr. Wheeler was born in Emmanuel County to the late Eunice Leonard Wheeler, Sr. and Louella Smith Wheeler. He was preceded in death by his wife Wynelle Gladys Cooley Wheeler. He served in the United States Army and was retired from Georgia Kraft after forty years of service. Mr. Wheeler was an avid "Bulldog" fan, fisherman, and hunter. He coached Little League for many years at Macon and Western Baseball Leagues. -Survivors include his children, Michael L. Wheeler (Debbie) of Macon, Steven Wayne Wheeler (Sue) of Bainbridge, Susan Elaine Jordan and companion (Greg) of Monticello, and Cathy Wheeler Fountain and companion (Grady "Chubby" Walsh, Jr.) of Macon; nine grandchildren, several great grandchildren; three sisters, Gloria (Dr. Raymond) Mason of Swainsboro, Kitty (Billy) Flanders of Dublin, and Mary Lou Loudon of Fredericksburg, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews; and a very special nephew, Vernon (Regina) Childs of Lizella. -Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
