Mrs. Joseph Kasel, 47, a resident of 511 9th Ave. since 1948, died early Thursday morning at her home. Death was attributed to a heart attack.

Mildred Helen Kasel was born April 23, 1917 in Callaway, Minn., the daughter of John and Gertrude Meuer Kiefer. She received her education in the Callaway and Adams, Minn. Schools. On August 28, 1945 in Adams she married Joseph Kasel.

Mrs. Kasel was a member of the Immaculate Conception church and of St. Francis circle of which she was serving as secretary.

Survivors include her husband Joseph; three daughters, Sharon, Dorothy, and Mary Lou, all at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Kiefer, Adams, Minn.; two brothers, Kermit Kiefer, Albert Lea, Minn.; and Bernard Kiefer, Adams, Minn., and a sister, Mrs. Norman (Donna) Hovde, LeRoy, Minn. She was preceded in death by a brother, Marlin.

Funeral services will be Monday at 9 a.m. from the Immaculate Conception church. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. John J. Smith will celebrate the mass. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery.
