The 1870 census of Simpson Co. MS indicates that A.J. Murray's first name is Andrew. His parents are Rev. James and Margaret Murray from Simpson Co. MS. Unfortunately, I haven't found any grave markers for James and Margaret. Rev. Murray served in Palestine Baptist Church in Simpson County. He and other members of his family moved to Texas after 1870. Two brothers, Madison and Willis, are buried in Milam Co. TX. Another brother Archibald (Arch J.) was apparently in Nacogdoches Co. TX.
