Married first to Elmira Lowe.He remarried after her death in Lilesville,Anson County, North Carolina on 5 Oct 1882 to Lucretia Jane Forte,daughter of John A. and Lottie Forte.She was the Widow of Furman Dewitt Henry,son of Reuben and Nancy West Henry. Furman Dewitt Henry and Lucretia Jane Forte were married in Lilesville,Anson County, North Carolina on 18 Dec 1877.

William married a third time in Morven,Anson County, North Carolina on 4 May 1899,to Martha E. Knight.The marriage license does NOT tell you who her parents were,except her father was dead and her mother alive,residing in Anson County, North Carolina.
They were married at the residence of Mrs. H.E. Teal in Morven.
