Biographical and Historical Memoirs of Columbia County, Arkansas.
Originally published by The Goodspeed Publishing Company, 1890.
Excerpt from pages 488-489, in a biography of his son, Edwin Turner Hutcheson.

Eleven children born to J R and Henrietta (Furlow) Hutcheson, and parents were also born in that State, and were there reared and married. In 1866 they moved to Texas, but in the fall of 1868 came to Arkansas and pitched their tent in Columbia County, where they purchased a farm. He is now a resident of Lockesburg, Sevier County, Ark., and is known through out that region as an enterprising, industrious and successful tiller of the soil. While in his native county of Upson, Ga., he served as sheriff of the same for one term, and is now discharging the duties of treasurer of Sevier County, his services being highly satisfactory to all. Of the eleven children born to him nine are now living: E T, A G, Dr. D A, (a resident of Nashville, Ark.), RR, Henrietta (wife of W G Clary, Sallie (wife of W D Booth of this county), Frances (wife of John Bandy, of Sevier County), Caroline (wife of Ball Dooley, of Sevier County) and Benjamin (deputy clerk of Sevier County).
