He was killed in action on May 30, 1944 when his aircraft was shot down over Yugoslavia.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army on July 27, 1942 at Ft. Jay, Governors Island, New York.
He was originally from Portage, Pennsylvania.
He was interred in the Gettysburg National Cemetery on June 29, 1949.
