He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and had worked for Zonolite and W.R. Grace and Co. for 31 years.
Survivors include his two daughters, Susan Smith of Libby and Diane McKay of Superior; a sister, Vivian Burt of California; grandchildren, Tia, Kari, Craig, Ryan and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Trevor and Elijah; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services with military honors will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Milnor Lake Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson & Vial Funeral Home.
