Roger Quincy Evans was born April 3, 1892. in Cameron, Milam County, Texas, to John Pinkney Evans and Inez Isadore Griffin. Roger was tall, stout, had gray eyes and light brown hair. He was the County Agricultural agent in Baird, Callahan County, Texas. He enlisted in the Texas Rangers as a SPECIAL RANGER on May 29, 1917, thru December 1917, attached to Co. C. He had been a school teacher up until 1917. He was an Agricultural agent with Texas Agricultural and Mechanical College. During WWI, Roger was a Texas Sgt. 341 Bakery Co. OMC WWI. In 1920, he was a real estate agent in Callahan County. John Quincy Evans died December 22, 1965, in Baird, Callahan County, and is buried in Ross Cemetery, in Baird.
